Discography and Faithless
[edit]Today the Discography > Faithless section of this article just links to the main Faithless article. I was going to changes this to Faithless discography, but that includes works which Maxi Jazz isn't part of. What's the best way to handle this? Is it to replace the link with a list all the Faithless works that Maxi Jazz is part of? The overalp is significant but not perfect.

Cleanup and Expert Tags
[edit]Although this article probably has improved vastly since it's beginnings, it's perhaps not quite up to standards that we'd like? Sadly I'm not a huge faithless fan, although their 2001 concert on Roskilde made me a diciple for life ;)
I can understand that Maxi Jazz is a bit secluded, it should be possible to fill out this article right? Especially by a major "expert" on Faithless/Maxi Jazz(read: die-hard fan)...
Best of luck people, let's move this article even further! :D the--dud 12:56, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Changes by Equanimity two
[edit]Can anyone be so kind as to flesh out the pre-Faithless and perhaps Racing and 1GL sections? I'm a tad new to this lark. Is the writing style okay? Have I used too many headers? Feel free to be merciless. Equanimity two 00:47, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I'm changing One Giant Leap back to 1 Giant Leap as that is how it appears on the CD. Admittedly, 'One' is held to be better English, but it is inaccurate to use it here. Equanimity two 19:10, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Family Origins
[edit]Was his father a terrorist? In the song "Weapons of Mass Destruction" he recites what could be the real or fictionalized background of his father (which he seems to sing vaguely about in other songs). Lyrics:
My dad came into my room holding his hat I knew he was leaving, he sat on my bed told me some facts, son. I have a duty, calling on me You and your sister be brave my little soldier And don't forget all I told ya Your the mister of the house now remember this And when you wake up in the morning give ya momma a kiss Then I had to say goodbye
I got the feeling that his father was either a soldier or a suicide bomber, the reason I think it's the latter is because he says that his dad knew he was going to die, and a soldier wouldn't necessarily know that he was going to die. Later on in the song he mentions:
I'm getting stress from some other children. I'm holding it in, we taking sides, like a politian an if I get friction we get to fightin. I defend my dad he's the best of all men an whatever he's doin he's doin the right thing. Its frightenin but it makes me mad, why do all of these people seem to hate my dad? .... and all we ever seem to do is hide the tears, seems Daddy been gone for years. But he was right, now I'm geared up for the fight an he would be proud of me if Daddy came home tonight. .... My story stops here, lets be clear This scenario is happening everywhere And you ain't going to nirvana or farvana You're coming right back here to live out your karma With even more drama than previously, seriously ... Cos I don't want your daddy, leaving home tonight
Anyone have any information on this, just curious.

Maxi Jazz is 49 by the way. And is shorter than he looks.
Your edits to U2
[edit]I am not sure whether this is edit of yours is serious.[[1]] Are you aware of the need to have reliable sources? Also the need to make edits that fit into the rest of the article? --Merbabu 16:56, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Actual date of birth
[edit]I understand he was born in 1957, but the actual date of that year needs citing really. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TomGreen (talk • contribs) 17:40, 11 March 2007 (UTC).
Correction
[edit]Maxi Jazz lives in West Norwood, not South Norwood. In February 2007, he discussed moving to the area in an official Lambeth publication. See:

Buddhism
[edit]The article does not mention how long he has been a Buddhist, nor what his previous religion, if any, was. Does he qualify for the converts to Buddhism category? Werdnawerdna (talk) 03:45, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Article ranking
[edit]I cleaned up the article for the most part, but whoever considers one or two references and two paragraphs of text to be a Start ranked article should re-read WP:MOS. Buddhism isn't even mentioned there. How can it be ranked for that group as more than a stub?? Please. I re-ranked the article as a stub. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 02:26, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- I revised the ranking to "start" based on the assessment criteria, and considering that the article has about 3000 characters of prose, clearly more than a stub. --ELEKHHT 05:07, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
