ranks
[edit]Are we only including true admirals (i.e. those who served in the Royal Navy long enough to attain the rank) or also including those who honorarily received the title (Prince Charles, Prince Philip, etc.)? Also, are we including all admiral ranks (Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, Admiral, Admiral of the Fleet)? ugen64 22:29, Aug 17, 2004 (UTC)
other admirals
[edit]I gather not everybody has articles yet; I came across a mention of John Rashleigh Rodd, made admiral in 1888. He was 1st Lieutenant on the HMS Fisgard under a Captain John A. Dunze. He is the namesake of Rodd Hill - Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site at Esquimalt, British Columbia. See this for source.Skookum1 (talk) 05:27, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I see that Vice Admiral John (Jack) Percival Scatchard CB OBE DSC** Royal Navy, whom I met during a naval exercise in the Philippines in 1964, is not listed in this category. See [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by John Maioha Stewart (talk • contribs) 09:05, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
