History of Gavin Newsom Talk Page
[edit]I have noticed that the talk/comments that are necessary and relevant to this article have been removed. In this critical time when Wikipedia's credibility is actively disputed, it is important that we maintain the highest levels of integrity. Currently, the history of this article's talk page has been removed. This will allow for this article to drift into bad areas that was once in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steve.A.Dore.4 (talk • contribs) 20:14, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
Ex-wife's current relationship
[edit]Shouldn't it be mentioned in the section about Kimberly Guilfoyle, Gov. Newsom's first wife, that she is currently engaged to be married to Donald Trump Jr.? The article mentions Guilfoyle's professional connection to Trump Sr., but it glaringly leaves out the family connection through Trump Jr. It is very notable and of great relevance that the governor of California's (and possible future presidential candidate's) ex-wife is the current girlfriend and future wife of the former president (and current presidential candidate) with whom the governor has a superlatively fraught relationship. This fact should be added to the paragraph about Guilfoyle here. 108.21.213.213 (talk) 16:24, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
- As you pointed out it already mentions she is now an advisor to Trump; she also has her own Wikipedia article for people who want more info. Also she is engaged to Trump's son not Trump so not engaged to a former president nor current candidate. Remember this entry is about Newsom not his former wife of just over 4 years from 15+ years ago (who has married and divorced since her marriage to Newsom [and Newsom himself has since remarried]). If Guilfoyle & Newsom had had children (in which case Trump Jr. would be in a potential stepfather role to them), an engagement or living with Trump Jr. might be important enough to mention here. - Actually, what I'm curious about is that the reason WHY they got divorced has been completely scrubbed from this article.
- Newsome was carrying on an affair with his campaign manager/best friend's wife, while he was mayor.
- It was a pretty substantial scandal at the time, and...it doesn't even show up. Someone's scrubbed this article. Cprael (talk) 17:19, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Cprael, if you read Gavin Newsom#Personal life, you'll see that the affair is mentioned and was not "scrubbed". You'll also see the given reasons for the divorce and that it occurred a year before the affair became public. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:21, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- You are correct, thank you. Cprael (talk) 19:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
